Acquired in 1502 by René de Cosse, first lord of Brissac, it is now the residence of the Duke of Brissac. While the park offers beautiful views in the shade of trees, the visit inside reveals a dazzling décor. Here, gold leaf ceilings, precious furniture and above all a charming Belle Epoque theatre, dedicated to opera vie with each other for attention.

In the large living room family memories rub shoulders with portraits and other pictures, flowers and candles... In the dining room you will see the table set for evening dinner — many guests were invited to the Duke's table! The tour continues in the footsteps of King Louis XIII who came to Brissac in August 1620, through the historic rooms and art galleries to the Belle Epoque theatre. This amazing 200-seat opera hall was the ambitious dream of Jeanne Say, Marquise de Brissac, a famed music lover at the end of the 19th century.
